Some girl at work yesterday looked at me intently & asked if I was wearing lipstick. When I said no, she said 'oh. Well you're lips are a really pretty color.'

I absolutely LOVE compliments like that. Because other people always notice the beautiful things about you that you would never, ever consider. Like, I would never think my lips were pretty. I've always had problems with them being dry all the time, since I play an instrument & am always out in the elements because of it. So I've always disliked them.

&& I always get compliments on my hair too. People seem to love the natural color of my hair. I've had people tell me they'd kill to be able to get my shade, with all the natural highlights. & see, I've always thought my hair was pretty boring. I've always thought it was too gray, or too dirty of a blond. But I guess it does highlight itself very well in the summertime, && get's pretty dark in the winter. So it pretty much takes care of itself. I've learned to love it, which is why I never dye it anymore, I think.

I've always thought my eyes & eyelashes were my best feature, but I rarely get compliments on my eyes. They're just kind of a boring color. They're a gorgeous green, but they're a little dark with little or no sparkle, & the fact that I wear glasses really hides their beauty. But my eyelashes are ridiculous. They're long & thick & curly. I never ever curl them, because if I did they'd probably curl in on themselves. People often think they're fake, but they're not. They're real, && they're a REAL pain in the ass, since I wear glasses. The length is super annoying getting caught on the lenses.

I guess sometimes it's just nice to love yourself, you know? && it's wonderful to know that other people DO notice these things. :]
